About Me
I hold a position as Associate Professor at
IEA. I obtained my PhD in Industrial
Automation (at IEA) in May 1996 after
presenting my thesis entitled "Modelling
Aspects of Wastewater Treatment
Processes". My professional fields of
interest lie within automation and control in
general, and mathematical modelling,
simulation and control applied to
wastewater treatment (WWT) systems in particular.
Lately, my research has been focussing
on benchmarking of WWT plants (chairman of the IWA Task Group on Benchmarking), modelling of anaerobic digestion processes and the combination of water and energy related issues. Since 2010 I am also working within the national research cluster VA-kluster Malardalen coordinated by Uppsala University. As of January 1 2008, I am the deputy head of the new department MIE (including IEA) and associate editor for the scientific journal Water Research since October 2009.
