Sliding Mode Control of Electrical Motors A new approach for the control of switched
reluctance machines is presented. In this approach the control objectives are specified as
surfaces in the state space where we desire the system to "slide". These surfaces
are chosen to obtain a desired performance and/or to follow physical constraints as
balanced currents in no neutral connected systems. As the objectives are specified as
surfaces sliding mode control is a well adapted technique for dealing with the problem. An
introduction on sliding mode is presented and the technique is illustrated in three
electrical machines: the DC motor, the synchronous PM motor and the switched reluctance
motor. Also some simulations are going to be presented. |
